METADATA STANDARDS DEVELOPMENT
Dr. Rumble has worked with numerous organizations in their development of metadata standards for scientific and technical data. He has established formal committees under national and international standards development organizations (SDOs) and chaired a number of these committees. He has also worked with more informal groups to develop more specialized and community-driven metadata standards. His work has included the following.
- Developing data dictionares and related resources
- Data modeling
- Writing and editing formal and informal standards documentation
- Organizing workshops for community input
- Leading committees
Today, R&R Data Services primarily provides supporting services in an advisory role.
